A STATEMENT OF 10.000 PEOPLE

Düsseldorf 22.03.2003

It was 2003 when USA started the war on Irak. Many Anti War protests
happened around that time. I felt like, that I needed to get a bigger
signal out there. I had the idea of gathering enough people to form a
peace sign or to build the letters P E A C E on the ground to shoot it
from a helicopter. After almost 2 month of organisation, the day was
there. We gathered 10.000 people after a demonstration march through
the city, at the river „Rhein“ in Düsseldorf, Germany. Each participant
became a colored ballon, which we organized in forhand in 5 different
colors. After having everybody in position, we got the Green Light to
start the Helicopter. After a short flight we saw the result and we were
blown away. Right after the shoot, we uploded the photo to all
newspaper and press chanels we had contacted before. It did go around
the world and made it on severel front pages of Newspapers and even into
the news on Television.
It´s very sad, that I have to get it out there again, but it´s time for
it again. Help to share that picture with everybody.

I’m Daniel Schindler

I grew up in Duessledorf, Germany. First carpenter, 2 years states,
photography ausbildung, 13 years prof studio Düsseldorf, traveling around the world with car and fashion photography. In 2009 i moved to mallorca and ran for 5 years a production company and a studio on Mallorca. After a 8 year break, I´m back in photography.
